A very special swim meet will take place in Bismarck at the BSC Aquatic & Wellness Center June 14-16. Yes, there will be athletes and judges and officials and coaches and most certainly the cheering.

But what makes this swim meet extra special is that it is the 2012 U.S. Paralympics Swimming Trials!  Swimmers who hit select qualifying standards at the Trials meet in Bismarck will represent the United States at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London. The Paralympic Games is an elite sports competition for athletes with physical, visual and intellectual impairments. More than 4,000 athletes from over 150 countries are expected to compete in London.

This event in Bismarck will host 100+ athletes, with each athlete being accompanied by their coach as well as family and friends. This event will be free and open to the public, and will certainly attract local, statewide and national media attention.

We ask your consideration to become involved in the 2012 U.S. Paralympics Swimming Trials. Aquastorm Swimming is the Host Swim Club for this event. Specifically, we respectfully ask for your volunteer help and provide service in a number of different positions. Please sign up as you would normally sign up to assist at any meet.
